Babies and More Babies!

It was an eventful week in our household...Little Diva had puppies! She had three little girls...and they are all black with some white on them, and they are adorable. I was kind of dreading Diva having puppies, but it hasn't been nearly as bad as I thought. In fact, it has been kind of fun to have these cute little puppies around. She take such good care of them, and both mom and puppies are doing great! If anyone is interested in the puppies we will be selling them at about 8 weeks. The breed is called 'Malzter'....click here if you want to see what they will look like. And then there is our little Lily....this picture captures her perfectly. We woke up this morning and peeked into her cradle...this is what she looked like. We are in love!

3 weeks

Little Lily is 3 weeks old today! It has been so much fun to be home with Lily. She is such an adorable baby....and a sweet baby. Anton and I are so lucky to have her....and we are having so much fun getting to know her! We are so lucky to be her parents! Love you Lily!
I have to say thank you to Anton. With the adjustment of motherhood, and my postpartum emotions setting in, Anton has been so patient with me and so amazing with Lily. Even though he has to get up and go to work, he still gets up with Lily to change her diaper or calm her down if she is fussy, and he always takes one of the 'feedings' by giving her a bottle, so I can get some sleep. It has been such a huge adjustment, and I know it has been hard having me so consumed with Lily...yet he never complains. So, thank you Anton. I love you and I am so grateful for you and all that you do for me and Lily!

Welcome Home!

Lily leaving the hospital
Welcome home baby girl! I am a little late in posting this, but as you can see, we were able to bring our Lily home - what a relief! She is so adorable - I can't believe how much we love her! She has been doing so well since being home. She sleeps so good (the hospital had her on a great schedule) and is eating like a champ. She has gained back almost all of the weight she lost - and that is such a huge relief. She really is an easy baby....we are really lucky. I can't believe how much a lifestyle change having a baby is. I was constantly being told that, but never really believed it....and it is so true! Although we are so tired, and it is an adjustment, we wouldn't change it for the world. Believe it or not, it is a 'reward' to get up at night and see her cute little face. Anton is so amazing with her - he helps out so much and is so hands on. I am so lucky! Here are some pictures over the past few days...

Her first bath - not a fan of that. But she does like to have her hair washed!

Our Lily

It is about time I posted some more pictures and gave all of you an update on our darling Lily. As some of you may know, but most probably don't, we don't have her home yet. With her coming a month early, there were some complications due to her weight and temperature that has caused her to have to stay in the NICU. She has showed so much progress within the last 24 hours, so it is a happy day! We can't WAIT to get her home - we are hoping that she can come home this weekend - but we are taking each day at a time. I am feeling really good - and recovering from my spinal headache which happened because of my epidural. I really believe all the prayers and fasts that went out in our behalf this past Sunday are really helping. Lily is such a funny little girl - she already has a funny personality. She is so sweet and well tempered. She rarely cries...just when she is hungry, wants her binks, or needs a diaper change. Anton is the master diaper changer! He has been so amazing through all of this. Once I was discharged from the hospital, he would go visit Lily ever single night - in the middle of the night - so I could rest and recover....sometimes he would go twice a night. Lily loves to hear Antons voice - as soon as she hears it, she turns her head to try and find him and just stares at him. It is the cutest thing! I speak for both of us - we absolutely love our little Lily. The love we felt for her was instant. Even though we don't have her home yet - we can't imagine our lives without her. What a joy she has been. I have been so blessed to have such an amazing husband whom I love more than words can describe, and now I have the most beautiful little girl who is the greatest blessing from above. I love my little family! Here are some pictures of our most favorite little person.....

She makes the funniest faces when you burp her. Notice the nice milk bubble hanging out!

So comfy in her little Isolette. She loves that green bink.

Update!

I thought it was about time to give an update - for all 5 of you readers out there! :)

First and most exciting: Baby Brog. Nope, it hasn't made its little debut yet - but it could be here any day. I will spare you all the lovely details, but with the way I have been progressing, the doctor thinks that our little baby will be here on "May 2nd"....but, who really knows when this baby will decide to make its debut! I have been feeling good - but not excellent. The last few weeks I have been pretty uncomfortable, so for that reason alone, I am looking forward to the baby getting here. We will keep everyone posted if anything happens. But, like I said - who knows when it will be - its all up to Baby Brog!!

Anton is walking for graduation on Friday - and I am so excited to see him in his cap and gown! He didn't walk when he got his undergrad, so it is kind of fun that he has decided to walk this time. Friday should be a fun day - I am excited for it! Anton is loving his 'new' job. I say new only because I don't think I ever mentioned he got a new job. He is so happy there - he loves what he does, loves the people he works with...he loves just about everything about it! I couldn't be more happy for him.

Things with me are good! I don't have much to report that I haven't already mentioned. We have been busy getting our house prepared for the new little addition. When I say 'we', I really mean Anton. He has done so much work on the house lately....he sanded down and refinished all the hardwood floors, wired and installed a beautiful new light in our living room, fixed the electrical work for the garage, painted the nursery, and the most recent project...which is getting the yard all ready for this spring/summer!

So, that is a short little run down on whats happening in our household! We will keep you posted if anything happens!!

Bragging!

How about how cute these pictures are?! I think I have some pretty cute nieces and nephews - and this is only half of them!
