What a weekend!

We had a delightful weekend. Since Lily has been here, it has been harder for us to get out and do things. So, this weekend was exceptionally fun since we got out of the house and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Friday: I went to This Is The Place Heritage Park with my mom and sisters and all the little ones. It was so fun! I haven't really spent time up there, but it is so well done and a delightful little place. Thanks Mom!

Saturday: Anton and I went to the zoo. I think the last time I went to the zoo was when I graduated from Jr. High. It was so fun to be together as a little family. It kind of felt like I was on vacation - which was soo nice. Later that night we were supposed to go to the Demolition Derby with some of our friends, but I had one of my terrible headaches so we didn't end up going. Too bad - those are so fun!

Antons mom and sisters came into town this weekend. Nicole got to meet Lily for the first time...and Lily got to meet her cousins Prentice and Truman! I know Prentice and Lily will have the best time together once they get a little older. Prentice is such a doll - I have never seen thighs like hers before - so adorable.

Today I took Lily for her two month check up. She is up to 10 lbs, 13 oz. Pretty good! Way to go Lily! She was smiling and gooing for the doctor - it was really funny! Sad thing is, she didn't realize the shots were coming. She got three shots, and I am not kidding I have never seen a baby cry harder. It was SO sad! Her face turned purple from screaming so hard, and I think she popped a little blood vessel in her forehead. Poor thing! Her little personality is coming out more and more - she is so much fun! One of my favorite things is now she is discovering her voice - and sometimes when she is smiling and gooing, she gets so excited she lets out a little squeal...too cute. And some other good news, she has only been getting up once a night now, and that is making a world of difference for me and Anton! So, it has been a fun and eventful few days....we are looking forward to another fun weekend up in Midway while we celebrate the 4th of July!

And on to the other babies in our house. The puppies! Honestly, they are so adorable. I can't get over how cute they are. I am going to be sad to see them go, but at the same time they are a lot of work. Again, if you know of anyone looking for a cute little puppy - let us know!

Darling

Honestly, could she get any cuter?!
~~
Funny thing happened when I took this picture....she went to the bathroom all over dad and onto the hardwood floors! It is a dangerous thing to hold a baby without their diaper on :)

Fun in the Sun

Today was Lily's first day at the pool! I hardly got her in the water, but we had a great time anyway. We met up with my sisters and their little ones, and even got to have lunch with Papa. We had a great time - it is going to be a weekly activity from now on!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy fathers day Anton! Lily is so lucky to have you as her daddy!
We love you,
Your Girls
I think Lily was kind of hungry when this picture was taken! It makes me laugh!

p.s. Lily smiled for the first time on Friday. Guess who she smiled at? Her daddy :)

Favorites

It has been so fun to see Lily's personality come through. I can't believe how much she is maturing and growing. I am having so much fun with her. I feel so blessed to be her mom! Here are some of my favorite things about Lily...

* The way she hums along while I am feeding her.
* Her cute little hands and feet.
* How she will calm down instantly the minute you pick her up - it seems like she finds so much comfort from her mom and dad.
* The way she focuses in on my face and just stares at me.
* The way she responds to Antons voice.
* When she is laying on Antons chest, she hums along and tickles his chest with her cute little fingers.
* I love that she loves to get in the bath and get her hair washed.
* Her 'Billy Goat' noises! They are so funny!
* I love when she stretches. She arches her back and make the cutest face.
* When you pick her up out of her swing or chair, she stays all folded up. So darling!

I could go on and on. I love my Lily....

On with the other babies in the house.....they are pretty darn cute if you ask me! Diva is such a good little mom.... I don't have to do a single thing - she just takes such great care of them. And, on a completely different note....My mom gave all the daughters in the family the most divine bath oil for Mothers Day. It is Grapefruit bath oil from Jo Malone....I took a bath last night with it....such a treat! Thanks Mom!!
