President Hinckley

What an extraordinary man! Senator Hatch put it well, "His life was a true testament of service, and he had an abiding love for others. His wit, wisdom, and exemplary leadership will be missed by not only members of our faith, but by people of all faiths throughout the world." It warms my heart to know he is with his cute wife Marjorie again, doesn't it you? What a sweet sweet man President Hinckley was. He will be missed.

What color are you?!

Take this test!

You're blue — the most soothing shade of the spectrum. The color of a clear summer sky or a deep, reflective ocean, blue has traditionally symbolized trust, solitude, and loyalty. Most likely a thoughtful person who values spending some time on your own, you'd rather connect deeply with a few people than have a bunch of slight acquaintances. Luckily, making close friends isn't that hard, since people are naturally attracted to you — they're soothed by your calming presence. Cool and collected, you rarely overreact. Instead, you think things through before coming to a decision. That level-headed, thoughtful approach to life is patently blue — and patently you!

Good Humor

Just the other day, my mom sent me a great blog! The woman who writes it, is so hysterically funny. As I was reading her blog, I was laughing so hard I had tears. Anyway, I found this particular post amusing. I don't know why it struck me so funny...maybe because this is the time of year when people are trying their hardest to loose weight, and a time of year where people like to escape the cold to somewhere warm and tropical.
"Oh good, I almost brought mine from home.
Hey look, the hotel provided a scale in the bathroom! Excellent! Nothing says vacation like the ever present reminder that you're gaining weight at the speed of delicious sound. I can only hope they've included similar luxuries, like 'Six Minute Abs' on pay-per-view, or maybe Slim Fast in the minibar."

Tag - You're it!

It is so terribly slow today at work...therefore a perfect time to fill this out. I was tagged...so now I tag you!

5 Things on my "To Do" list:

~Go shopping for the baby.
~Get some ideas of what I want for my birthday to my mom - since she asked me to get thinking of what I would like.

Such a nice boy...

First off, thank you for the all the nice and reassuring comments on my last post. It is a nice feeling to know that virtually every mother or expecting mother goes through these emotions. So, thank you for the kind comments - that meant a lot.

On another note. I am always talking about how sweet Anton is, or how funny he is. Not in this post! Let me just tell you a little something he did to me on Friday night. We get home from a fun dinner together, and are getting ready to hop in bed and watch a movie. I have my pajama tops on, but no pajama bottoms - just sportin the G's - and I said, "I better let the dogs out before we get in bed". So, I open the front door to let the dogs out, and what happens? Anton pushes me out the door, locks it, and turns on the front porch light. So, there I am standing out there in my underwear under the bright porch light. I must have looked like a deer in head lights because I froze. I didn't know what to do! Luckily, it was cold and he didn't make me stay out there too long. We did get a good laugh over it though - especially Anton! And the good thing about this?....I get to get him back.

Pregnancy Emotions

As I read my "What to Expect When Expecting" book, there is always the section 'What you may be feeling'. It always mentions something about your emotions, and how they can range from being really excited to being super nervous and scared. I have never been one to have a roller coaster of emotions...until now. Throughout this pregnancy, and in general, I have been pretty even keel, but just recently I feel those range of emotions coming on. Poor Anton had to deal with me on Sunday crying my eyes out so unexpectedly. I have had feelings of extreme nervousness...and I have been so scared at the kind of mother I will be. And I think the thing that has hit me most is that it will no longer be just me and Anton.

I am also a person prone to worry...I have asked Anton several times "Do you think it is ok to take these. Last time I asked, the doctor said it was but maybe it has changed since they last told me that. I hope it is ok that I take these". It is so pathetic! And, I constantly worry about the baby's health, and hope that is it growing and that everything is on track. Yesterday I was able to put a lot of my worries behind me. We were able to see the baby, and see its little heart beating, and legs and arms wiggling around. We even got to see two great big yawns! It was really amazing to see this little person growing inside me! I am sure these emotions I am feeling are perfectly normal....at least I hope so! So, now that I have posted how pathetic I am, I want to tell Anton thank you for being so patient with me during my "crazy lady" emotions! I love you. And I thought I would fill the rest of you in on the latest...as you read above, I did get my ultrasound... and no we didn't find out what we are having because we are "nuts", or so we have been told...and they baby is perfectly healthy and is growing growing growing!!

Back to it!

Well, now that all the festivities are over, its back to work and back to the regular routine. Although sometimes it is nice to get back to your regular routine of things. It was such a fun Christmas & New Years...Christmas morning with Anton couldn't have been better, we had so much fun! And this year, it was so wonderful to have my parents home...It was great to be together as a family after all these years with my parents being away! So after all the relaxing, sleeping-in, movies, shopping, family, a new adorable little niece and a new handsome little nephew being born - it is back to it! I am looking forward to 2008, aren't you?!
