Downtown SLC

My mom, sister and I took the kids downtown for a little outing to see Temple Square. It was SO fun! We walked all around Temple Square (we went early in the day, so it wasn't busy and too hot), had lunch at the Lion House Pantry, did a short tour of the Beehive house (which I had never done), then walked over to City Creek. It was such a fun outing - I loved it. I told my mom I feel so lucky to have a mom and sister whom I love to spend time with. I can't wait to go on another fun outing!

Swim Lessons

We love swim lessons at Willow Creek! Well, Lilly loves swim lessons - I swear she doesn't stop smiling the whole time. Claire, not so much. A session of swim lessons goes for two weeks. So, the first week, it was only Lilly in lessons and Claire running wild around the pool trying to get in. So, the next week I decided to put her in. She was furious at me! She hated it until about the 3rd day. All of the sudden she loved it. She loved her teacher, she loved the toys, she loved blowing bubbles. I have them signed up for another session, so I hope it is as successful as the first!
Lilly has taken a huge interest in Diving. Random. Who knew!? She gets up on the diving board and dives in, dives of the side of the pool, wants anyone and everyone who is there to watch her dive. It's pretty amazing actually to see such a small little squirt diving off the diving board! Maybe next year if she gets good at swimming, I will put her in diving.
It has been such a fun, busy summer - hence the lack of pictures!

Hike & Fathers Day

1. Lilly was so excited to give Anton her Father's Day gifts! What she "wrote" about her daddy will be such a priceless treasure.
2. She sang to her Papa and her Daddy in church. When she caught Anton's eye, she smiled the biggest smile and waved at him. She loves him.
3. We went up the canyon after church to go on a "hike". Which, in reality, is us wandering around at an extremely slow pace looking at all the bugs and all the flowers. Still fun though!
It was a fun Father's Day. We love Anton more than we can express.
Thank you for all you do for us, Love!

Newport Beach 2012

We just got home from Newport Beach. I had a such a great time with my little family. This was the first year where we felt like we could really do all the fun things. Claire is still a little young to do everything and is still demanding, but we had more fun than we ever have. Unfortunately Claire got really sick on our way to California, then passed it on to Lilly. So, they both were a little under the weather, and as parents you know how it is having sick kids. But, they were troopers and had a ball! We spent only one day at Disneyland, and that was perfect. One of my favorites, as was Anton's, was watching our girls watch the parade. When Lilly saw Aurora she covered her mouth with her hands and kept saying "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh!". And Claire screamed and laughed when Simba came out - Lion King is her very very favorite. After the parade we decided to head over to the Jungle Cruise. Lilly kept waving and blowing kisses at everyone - even the animals - because she was pretending she was a princess. It was so darling, and so sweet. She is such a sweet, innocent darling little girl. She was so good on the trip. We fall in love with Claire more and more each day. She is so hysterically funny, and so sweet. This trip was the first time Claire has ever slept with us. She got up early one morning so Anton brought her into our bed. We laid there with her, and all she wanted to do was snuggle or lay on us until eventually she fell back asleep. She is such a snuggler - I love it.
We had a great trip - but we are glad to be home and stay put for a little while until our next trip!

Beach and Pool

The beach and the pool were one of my girls favorite things about California. Lilly loved catching crabs, and Claire loved pretending to cover her feet in the sand. Anton was really looking forward to taking the girls to the beach, and thankfully they adored it!

San Diego Zoo

If you know my girls, you know they LOVE animals. They love learning about them, they love seeing them, everything about them...so it was only fitting that we take them to the San Diego Zoo. It was a great day! We got there when it opened and all the animals were active, and it wasn't very busy. Anton loved being back in his home town...I think it made him a little nostalgic and secretly wishing he still lived there though. It was a fun day!

St. George

On our way home from California, we stopped off and stayed a couple of days with Anton's family. It was so fun! Lilly was in heaven being with her Grandma and cousins, and Claire had a ball climbing in the trees, and climbing up the rocks in Grandmas backyard. She kept acting like a monkey in the tree...such a cutie!
