Happy Birthday!

Dear Lilly,

Happy Birthday sweet baby girl!! I can't believe you are ONE! This year has gone by so quickly, and every single day with you has been so amazing. You have brought nothing but joy and happiness into our home. My heart is so full today with gratitude that I have the most incredible blessing of being your mom. You mean absolutely everything to me. I hope you know how much your mommy and daddy love you. We couldn't possibly love you more. You have such a sweet relationship with your daddy. I love watching you with him, and I know you are his very favorite thing in the entire world. He would do anything for his "buggy". You have made each day so much more meaningful, and I want to be a better person, mother and wife because of you. I love you so much. I know Heavenly Father sent you to us for a reason. I remember when the doctor said, "It's a Girl!", I thought my heart would burst with happiness! I really believe you are my angel sent from above. Tonight, as I rocked you before bed, I began to cry. I was overwhelmed with how much love I have for you. Everything about you is perfect in my eyes. Your smile, your laugh, your mouth, your nose, your hands, your toes, your hair, your smell, your noises....everything about you I adore. I am so lucky to have you. Happy Birthday sweet baby girl.
I love you.
Your Mommy

Here are just a couple pictures of my favorite pictures of you....

Big Girl

This morning I was in the bathroom getting ready for church. Anton shouts to me, "Love, you gotta come see this!" I walked into Lilly's room, and there she was, standing up in her crib! I haven't ever seen her do that before. What a big girl!

But Mom...

...the dirt tastes so good!
Aaahhh, the weather is finally nice!! We worked on our yard all day Saturday, and it felt so good to be out enjoying the beautiful weather. Lilly was amazing...she stayed outside with us all day long. She loved it. As you can tell by the pictures, she liked getting in the dirt. She would get ticked off when I would grab the dirt from her hands. Funny little thing. On another note, last week we went and bought an "infant carrier" (I don't even know if that is what they are called) that Anton can use to take Lilly hiking with him. We broke it out today for the first time, and Lilly went nuts. She flapped her arms and kicked her legs for almost the entire walk. She was in heaven. She is at such a fun stage right now. Anton and I say over and over all the time, "what about how awesome our daughter is" or "honestly, I don't think I could love her more"...and we really mean it. She is our world. It is hard to believe that in 10 days, our baby Lilly is turning ONE! I am not sure how I am feeling about it either :)

(We realized after the fact, that her arms are supposed to go under those straps. We struggle.)

Southern Living

Have you ever been to a Southern Living at Home party? They are FABULOUS!! I am not kidding when I say they have the most adorable things for your home. And it is nice stuff too. My mom and I went to one last night and we were there for almost two hours, because there was so much stuff to choose from. I bought two adorable things for my kitchen. I can't wait for them to get here! I am going to be hosting one in May, and you better believe all of you are invited! I will post again with the date and time as it gets closer.

Help!

OK, so I need your help. I don't know what the deal is, but recently I look like a girl going through puberty. No joke. My skin is terrible. I have always struggled with my skin. I know part of the problem is genetics, and another part is what I am using on my face. So, what I need from you, is to tell me what kind of face wash you have used and liked! Or any product for that matter...face wash, moisturizer etc.

Oh, and take a look at this video. I think it is rather darling...

Happy Easter!

We have had the most wonderful Easter!! I had the opportunity to teach the Easter lesson today to my Young Women, and I was so glad I did. It really helped to remind me of the true meaning of Easter. What a special day Easter is. I love it! We have had so much fun fussing over Lilly's first Easter. I must say she looked like an absolute doll in her Easter dress that Anton picked out. I hope all of you had a wonderful and Happy Easter!!

Weekend Away

I had finally hit my limit with the terrible weather we had last week - and so did my parents. So, they decided that they were going to go to St. George to get away. I asked if I could tag along with them, and boy am I glad I did!! We left Saturday morning, and came back yesterday evening. The weather was amazing - so sunny and warm. I loved it! We had a blast. Lilly was an absolute doll, and loved playing and getting non stop attention from her Nana & Papa. I know she is going to miss them. We went swimming, on walks, went to Grafton where some of my dads ancestors are buried, went into the entrance of Zions, shopping, met up with Anton who was there for work, visited grandma Brog, took Lilly to the park...so much fun. I didn't take very many pictures (hence the only one of Lilly) - I wish I would have taken more. I swear Lilly loves it down there. Every time we go she has so much fun, and is in the best mood. Maybe it is because I am in a good mood too! :) It was also great to listen to General Conference. I absolutely loved that it was held on Palm Sunday. There were several talks about Christ and his life, sacrifice and resurrection. So, it was a great reminder for me to hear and remember the real meaning of this upcoming Easter holiday. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting me and Lilly tag along, we had so much fun being with you. We love you so much - thanks for being such cute grandparents to Lilly :)

So, I have to post these because I was rather proud of myself. I made these Cake Pops!! I got the idea from Bakerella. Aren't they darling?! You better believe I making these for the Easter celebrations this weekend. I think they will be a hit with my nieces and nephews...
