No More Bed Rest...
No More Taking it Easy...
All down hill from here! Doctor says there is about a 70% chance the baby will come in the next week, but just in case it doesn't, we set my induction date for April 22nd! Thank goodness that stressful time is behind us!

At the moment...
I am loving....
How generous people have been about helping out. My mom has helped so much with Lilly. She also unexpectedly brought in a bunch of frozen meals from 'The Store' for us to have on hand. So sweet, and not to mention those meals are delicious! A good friend dropped dinner off last week. She hadn't "signed up" for it or anything. She is just a sweet heart. Another friend and neighbor dropped by to take Lilly on a walk. Another offered to run errands for me this morning. Many have offered to take Lilly for the day. The list goes on and on.
Anton. He cooks, he cleans, he helps with Lilly, and helps me with anything I need. He got me out of the house on Friday and took me on a little "trip" to see his new office down town. I am so excited for him! It boosted my spirits to get out a little bit. I am very lucky to have such a helpful husband. Love him to pieces.
The fact that my last shot is tonight. Thank goodness.
This book. It is so great. I haven't been able to put it down.
Our nightly ritual of me trying my darnedest to beat my Uber competitive husband at this lovely game....
When Lilly falls asleep in randoms spots in her room.
The "notes" Lilly left me in my scriptures this morning.
And also the "notes" she left all over her freshly painted walls this weekend. Antons face when he saw them was priceless. Good times. :)

Bed Rest
BIG Bummer.
I cried the entire way home from the hospital. Lilly was a little unsure what was going on. I don't think she has ever seen me cry. She kept saying "Mama? Mama?".
I was so sad about the thought of having this baby so early, and the reality that if I do have this baby, there is no way we will be able to bring it home right away. 34 weeks is just too early for this baby to come.
Let's hope and pray this little person can wait two more weeks!!

Life at the Brog's
Man, life can get so stressful and hectic sometimes. And, I swear, when it rains, it pours. In order, this is how much fun we have been having at our home:
*Furnace decided to stop working.
*Car breaks down.
*Computer breaks down.
*Go to turn the oven on. It wont turn on. Oven is now broken.
*Go to the doctor. Way too progressed for only 33/34 weeks. Probably will be put on steroids tomorrow for our little baby's lungs who will most likely be born in the next two weeks.
* Came down with a hefty cold.
The car, the furnace and the oven have all been fixed, thanks to my "mister fix-it" husband. The car took a couple of trial and error experiences, but thank goodness it is back up and running.
Amidst all the stressful and annoying things going on, we have managed to have some fun things happen:
*Lilly graduated from her crib to her big girl bed and she LOVES it. I was blown away at how easy the transition was. She has slept so good in her big girl bed, and loves her new room.
*The giant pink cast is finally off!
*Lilly and I went to St. George with my mom and grandparents last week. It was so last minute, and against doctors orders...but it was so fun. And very relaxing. So glad I went.
*My nephew Charlie was finally released from the PICU up at Primary's. He is such a cute little guy.
*Anton was given a really incredible opportunity at work. More on that at a later time.
*Lilly has decided that one of her very favorite people is my gramps. Her great-grandpa. I have a sweet spot in my heart for my gramps, so I love to see her love him too.
I have been terrible at taking pictures lately....so, I apologize for the pictureless post! And on another random note...is anyone else excited that it is going to be 60 degrees this week? I sure am!

My Time With Her
It is hard to believe that my time with just Lilly is soon coming to an end. With doctors thinking this baby won't go full term, I am feeling anxiety about the change that is about to take place. Yesterday, while Lilly was down for a nap, I laid down on the couch to rest and got thinking about my time with Lilly. I started to cry thinking about how utterly perfect my precious time with her has been. I cried even harder thinking about how this new baby is going to rock Lilly's perfect little world. I told Anton later that night how sad I was to think of Lilly going through a hard time, and how hard it will be for me to watch her be sad because she will soon have to share her "MaMa". As he always reminds me, she will love having a sibling. I know that. It's just the first little while I worry about. I worry about how Lilly will do, I worry about the stress a newborn will put on my marriage, I also worry about my life changing with a second child. Yet, as much as I worry, I know in my heart of hearts it will be OK. How could it not be? Today, as I laid on the couch resting - again - the baby was wiggling and kicking all around, and I couldn't help get excited about this new little person coming into our home. The spirit a newborn brings into a home is indescribable. Also, this time around, I feel more excitement than what I did with Lilly. Before Lilly was born I was SO nervous about the huge change that was going to take place. I didn't know what to expect and I had so many questions and wondered about so many things. I wondered what it was going to be like to be a mom, what it was like to get up at night with them, what it was going to do to my marriage and free time...all those normal first time parent questions. This time, I feel as though I have a better sense of what to expect, and therefore I have more "room" for excitement. Of course, I have no idea what to expect about being a mother of two, but I can tell you this...I KNOW I will love this child regardless of how hectic life may get with two. And, I feel like that is all that matters. This child is going to be so deeply loved...by me and Anton, by Lilly (eventually!), aunts and uncles, grandparents, great grandparents and cousins. So many people are anxious for its arrival. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to stay home with Lilly. I was able to see every "first" big milestone, to comfort her when she was sick, to giggle with her, to spoil her, to give her every confidence in the world...I wouldn't change that for anything in the entire world. She is my little partner, my "right arm", my love bug, and my proudest creation yet.
