Healthy Nutritious Breakfast

On Sunday morning we like to bring the girls into bed with us. After a little while, we asked Lilly what she would like for breakfast.

She thought about it for a minute...

and decided to go with..."SNAKES"!!

Now that is what I like to call a healthy and nutritious breakfast!

Sunday Morning

Sunday mornings are generally a little hectic with everyone trying to get ready and out the door in time...even more so now with two kiddos. But, yesterday, we had a few minutes to spare before we had to get going, so I made Anton take some pictures of the girls. Here is what we got...

I am so in love with the picture of Lilly. It shows her exactly how she is. I love it. And the picture of Claire laying on my shoulder...that little head of hair is sweet. I am so smitten.

Feeling Refreshed

At 8:00 last night, I told Anton I was ready to go to bed. I was absolutely exhausted. But, I refrained...decided I wouldn't be such a grandma, and stayed awake.

I fed Claire at 10:30, then fell asleep shortly after.

Woke up to birds chirping. WHAT?! I didn't wake up with Claire during the night. I had a slight panic attack, wondering if she was OK.

She was. She just decided to sleep through the night!

Bless her little heart.

Some pictures from the past week...

We have smiles! Claire has just learned to smile, and it absolutely melts me. Now, the trick is going to be getting her to smile for the camera!

FINALLY, it was warm enough to set up Lilly's water table she got for her birthday from her Nana & Pops. She loves loves loves it. It is also very convenient...when she gets a little thirsty, she just leans over and takes a drink. Or, when she gets hot, she just climbs in...with her shoes and clothes on. Wish I would have snapped a picture of her doing that.

One of Lilly's favorites....visiting with her friend Fred. Fred is our 85 year old next door neighbor. He happens to be Lilly's best friend.

Also, this week I got word that all the Woodward women, are headed to this fabulous resort in a few weeks. I am beyond excited. Girl talk, fabulous food, killer hotel, the spa, laying out, shopping...can't wait! (yes, little miss Claire is coming with us)

The Last 24 Hours

This child. I will tell you what, she is a character. In the last 24 hours, or less, she has managed to do the following:

1. Take off her pants and diaper, while she should be napping, AND go to the bathroom on her floor and blankie.

2. Climb on the table and smell the flowers. Once she was done smelling them, she decided to tear them apart.

3. Climb up onto the dining room table and get my diet coke can...then managed to dump it out onto the carpet and her clothes.

4. Dumped her bowl of animal crackers and trail mix into her water table.

5. Give me crusties when I am trying to discipline her. Who gives crusties at two?! I have to turn my head so she doesn't see me smiling.

6. Grab all of the spoons out of the utensil drawer and put them in her bed. Apparently that's the best place for them.

7. After taking a drink of bath water, she says "MMM Delicious"! SICK.

She has me laughing and pulling my hair out - all at the same time. I seriously could not love her more...even if she drinks bath water. :)

(These pictures made me laugh so hard. Instead of "sniffing" the flowers, she blows out her nose. She thinks that's how you smell things. Hence, the awesome facial expression. I love it!)

This week I realized..

*That I need to record the small and simple things more. So, you will be seeing a lot more "non-important posts", just for me. For my records...so I never forget them.

*Having a two year old around is very entertaining at times. Also, VERY frustrating at times.

*I will probably always have a spot of baby barf on my shirt for the next year. Claire likes to spit up her food...a lot.

*That doing Pilate's after about a 10 month hiatus, is painful. Yikes. I am in for a long road of getting back into shape.

*I don't really want my girls to grow up. I am so happy being their mom.

*House work is never ending. Especially with a walking tornado to tear things apart right after you have picked them up.

*Folding laundry is a constant. I swear there is always a basket of laundry waiting for me to fold.

*I could kiss Claire a million times a day, and still not feel satisfied. She is scrumptious!

*I am very lucky to live close by family.

*Going on a date with your husband is underrated. We had such a nice dinner at the Blue Boar in on Friday and it was So fun! Thanks to my parents for watching the girls.

*Hearing your two year old say "Hello Guys!" to the Jr. High boys walking home is hysterically funny.

*I am dreaming of summer. When oh when are we going to get good weather!

*Having a nice stroller is SO fun! I splurged and bought a new double for my girls. Love it!

*How grateful I am for the women in my life. Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day!

Hard to Believe

It is hard to believe that 4 weeks ago today, this little angel came into our lives.

Time goes by way too quickly.

Loved every word

I am always asking my mom and sisters for good books to read - since they have never failed me in recommending a wonderful book. They all raved about this one - and now I can see why. It has easily fallen into my top ten, maybe even my top five. I loved it. Absolutely loved it!
