Last day of school & a few randoms

Another great year! It is always so bitter sweet when school lets out. I get so excited for summer, but I also get so sad at the thought of another year gone which means the girls are another year older. It kills me. I always think they can't be as cute as they are, but I always have to remind myself that every year just gets better and better. Lilly always gets SO sad to say goodbye to her teachers and friends. Claire could really care less! It was a fun day even though there were a few tears.

I thought this picture that Claire drew at school was so cute...especially Coopers beard!

We got to babysit a friends baby and Lilly & Claire were in HEAVEN!! We loved having a little baby in the house and he made us laugh super hard. We made sure his mom and dad left us with his stroller so we could take him on a walk. We loved it! In a few years, Lilly is going to be a fantastic babysitter...and she can hardly wait!

End of School Festivities

It's always the most exciting time for the kiddos! It was fun working at the school this year because I had a chance to be involved in almost everything my girls were doing. The vibe around the school is so fun during those last few weeks/days.

Lilly worked really hard this year to improve in Math. Specifically her multiplication. Her first parent teacher conference didn't go so hot, so he decided to make goals with the girls. One of Lilly's was to memorize her multiplications, and she worked really really hard throughout the year to pass off that goal. By the middle of the school year, Lilly was ahead of all her classmates in Math Karate. Each multiplication set they passed off, at the end of the year they would get to add something to their ice cream sundae. I was so proud of her for passing off her multiplications!!

Field day is always a favorite day!! Lots of laughs, water and games! And of course, the fire trucks....the kids very favorite part!

I still can't believe how small Lilly's class was this year! We're missing a few, but still...it's tiny!

Lagoon!!

We got season passes this year for Lagoon! It has been a while since we've gotten them, and we have most definitely gotten our money's worth out of them. We have loved going with cousins this year! The Leonards were in town and so was Uncle Ernest and his kids. We loved spending the day together. It is always fun to see Anton with his siblings, and my girls love being with their cousins.

Phone pictures

Lilly's end of year field trip was to the planetarium. I can't believe I didn't snap more pictures! It was so fun!! Lilly's grade is the smallest in the school - her class alone only has 16 kids! They are a tight knit little group, and it is always fun to spend time with them.

One Saturday Anton and I decided to go to the Hill Air Force Base and see the museum up there. I wasn't expecting much and was so impressed with how amazing it was. I couldn't believe all the planes they had, and how well done the museum was. I left feeling so patriotic and so grateful for those that serve in the armed forces. It was a great day, we absolutely loved it!

6 month check ups! Poor Claire has my teeth. Every. Single. Time we go, she has a cavity. Same with me. I hate it. And it has nothing to do with having clean teeth, or at least that is what my dentist told me. He said I have perfectly clean teeth, but that it is probably genetics which cause the cavities. Rats!

Lilly class worked on a really neat project this year. She got to pick one Native American tribe that she wanted to learn about. She chose the Sioux tribe. They did the research on their own (in class), made a diorama and a poster with all the information then they had to get up in front of the class and visitors and tell everyone what they learned. Lilly was very nervous to do it, but she did great. She hates getting up in front of people, so it is always a good thing for her to help her get over her fear. Her Nana & Papa came to support her, and she was thrilled to have them. I am so proud of Lilly!

Sweet choice of hat Claire. I walked outside and she was wearing this. I swear, she is the most random and funny child.

Wahoo!!! We were all a little excited for Lilly to get her old cast off, and her new one on! When they took the old cast off, it made Lilly a little woozy - which they say is really common when kids look at their arm and it still looks funny - so they had her lie down for a minute. Her poor arm had such an awful rash on it from us getting it wet. They told us it was fine that we got it wet, but that sometimes that happens when kids have sensitive skin, which I didn't really think she had sensitive skin - now we know. When she got her new cast, they told us to not get that one wet. She chose a cute purple color for her new cast and was so excited to finally be able to itch part of her arm!

Zoo with friends

Through school and our neighborhood, we have met some of the greatest friends! My neighbor and friend added me to her zoo pass (SO generous) and we have loved going to the zoo this year. One Friday after school we met up with some of our favorite friends and spent the afternoon together at the zoo. So fun!
I love these little friends so much. I am so glad that my girls have these kiddos as their best friends. Every single one of them is so nice and so good....and I feel the exact same way about their Moms. I hope they stay friends forever!

May Randoms

Just trying to play catch up here!
We love our neighborhood library...and one of our favorite things is that we can walk to it! They had a little owl in the kids area...can't pass up a photo op!

Her face, and her outfit. She is truly one of a kind.

I am such a sucker for my sleeping girls. Not a night in my life (excluding while on vacation) has gone by where I don't go in and kiss them before I get in bed. I love it and will do it as long as they live under my roof! Claire falls asleep often with her light on. She reads, gets her animals all set up and then must just doze off. Funny little one.

Mulch day!!

Letting the butterflies go!

One day after school, and before I dad had his hip surgery my parents took us out on their 4x4. It is always an adventure with the "killer cows" - which Claire absolutely hates!

Loves with Dad.
