The day of her birthday, I checked her out of school and took her to lunch. We just went to the bagel store up the street, and it was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside. It was so fun to be with her, and I could tell she felt really special. Right after school she had her private skating lesson, and she got to use her new skates. She loved them! Later that night we went to get Mexican per her request then came home and opened presents and had cake. She got a fun new bike from us, a watch and some Doc McStuffins shoes. And, Claire got her the Calico Critters that she has been wanting for a while. While she was getting ready for be she was really sad and emotional because she didn't want her fun day to be over. I told her if she had the best birthday ever, that means her 7th year will be the best yet. I truly hope that's the case! It makes me so happy that she had such a fun birthday!! I love her more than I can describe. I am so honored to be her mother, and am so proud of the sweet, funny, beautiful, smart and caring little girl she has become!!

7!!
Sweet little Lilly...I can't believe she is 7!! She had "the best birthday ever"! I think she really did. It seemed like her birthday dragged out for over a week, which made it even more fun for her. Her birthday was really fun for her. My parents came over the night before to give her her presents. I knew she was going to flip out over what my mom got her. I kept telling Lilly that if she passed all of her ice skating lessons (she is in the last level) that I would buy her some white ice skates. But, my mom wanted to give some to her for her birthday. I, of course, was thrilled and thought that would be the most exciting thing for her to get! When she opened them she started screaming. It was so cute! My mom not only got the ice skates for her, she got her a special bag for all her gear, and a darling ice skating outfit. It was so exciting for her!!
