The Saturday after her birthday, Lilly had her first Ice Skating competition. I was nervous for her and wondered how she would do skating in front of tons of people, let alone judges, but she wasn't nervous at all! She looked adorable, and skated beautifully. The only thing she complained about was how cold she got while she had to wait to get on the ice. That was my fault that I didn't pull her jacket out of her bag. She placed 2nd, and was so excited. Anton and I were interested to see how she would do if someone was better than her - because she is so competitive - but it didn't even phase her. She just had fun. What more could a parent ask for?! The competition started first thing in the morning, and was over within an hour or so. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went and how well it was organized. Great job Lilly Bug - we are so proud of you and your hard work! She loves ice skating so much, so it is fun to see her really improving and her love for it blossoming even more!
