Help!

OK, so I need your help. I don't know what the deal is, but recently I look like a girl going through puberty. No joke. My skin is terrible. I have always struggled with my skin. I know part of the problem is genetics, and another part is what I am using on my face. So, what I need from you, is to tell me what kind of face wash you have used and liked! Or any product for that matter...face wash, moisturizer etc.

Oh, and take a look at this video. I think it is rather darling...

without a doubt the best face wash in the entire world is proactive refining face cleanser. Some people I suggest it to say they don't like proactive because it's too harsh, I have never found that to be the case. This stuff is by far the very best out there. I swear by it. You can get it at the kiosk at fashion place. xoxo

These are a couple things I have found in my cosmetics/cosmetology/makeup artistry experience. Everyone's skin is different and will react differently to everything. So you will probably have to find just what works for you. Something I have noticed is that some products are so full of different acne chemicals that it just aggravates the skin and makes it worse. I have found that simple things are under rated.

Cetaphil face cleanser. Used without water is wonderful. It is gentle, and isn't going to aggrivate your skin. I like to rub it all over my face, and then wipe it off with a clean damp/warm wash rag.

I love MAC Green Gel Cleanser (the only MAC skin care I like). It gets your skin squeeky clean and takes off makeup very well.

MD Daily Facial Peel. This stuff is the best skincare product I have ever used. It is expensive though. For a 30 day supply, it is $70. Worth every single penny. It takes care of acne, black heads, oily skin, wrinkles, dead skin cells, everything. It is the best product ever and the best thing is, that you buy it at Nordstrom so if you buy it and use it for a week and hate it, you can return it for a full refund. You won't ever want to return it though, its incredible.

As for Proactive, I haven't ever used it, but I have heard good things about it. I have done makeup on a few people who used Proactive and their skin was very dry and red and peeling from it, but I think it depends on the person, because that doesn't happen with everyone. I do think it is worth a try though.

Good luck! Also, make sure you are exfoliating about once or twice per week and make sure whatever moisturizer you are using is non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog pores.

I swear by GlyMed. Changed my life. A lot of Medical Spas use it. We used it in school and now I sell it for a discount. If you are interested, call me or email me and we'll talk.

I have felt like this lately too. It must be in the air! I just went to the dermatologist to have her take a look at it and I am using just a simple Neutrogena Visibly Even wash and really like it. She said for my skin (every skin is different) but to make sure I am using an oil free lotion. (that may help you?) So i just use Clean & Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer. Nothing fancy, but worth trying! My skin is doing lots better form it.
Good luck!

Oh man Lizzy I feel your pain... My skin FREAKED out when I moved here. It was so terrible. Look for washes with salyic acid atleast 2% and non comedegenic lotions oil free. And stick with atleast one product for a couple of weeks before switching things out. Changing things up to frequently freak your face out.

The best skin care remedy I have found is to get pregnant! I swear that my skin has never been so good as it was when I was prego. but if you don't want to do that, then I really like Arbonne's acne wash, but I'm no expert.

I use Purity by Philosophy. It's at Nordstrom for about $30. The bottle lasts a long time, and it's really natural. Also, there aren't a lot of steps involved, which is nice when you've got better things to do, right?

She has the best laugh. I love how it is so unique to her. Her Easter picture is adorable as well. She looks just like a little doll. Too bad her dad had to be in the picture:)

I went to an esthetician in December and while I'm still not totally sold on the face wash she gave me, I've been into an M2 product since then called HP Skin Refinish that I use once a week.

It definitely can cause flaky skin for a day or two, and it took some getting used to, but I feel like its doing it's job overall (healing all my years of skin issues...).

The best my skin ever was though was this past sumer when when I stopped eating animal products and sugar, but that is tough...

I have the worst skin ever. It has taken a toll on my self esteem. I would say I have spent $10k on skin stuuf over the years (including surgery!)I have tried perscription wash and topical, the fancy department store stuff, and of course I have tried proactive. One day I got sick of spending the money and still having bad skin, so I said to heck with it and moved to Oil of Olay wash and moisturizer. I haven't had a zit in over a year. All this time and money and the answer was at Wal Mart. Who knew. I think everyone is different. Good luck.

I have been through a lot of facewashes. I now use Cetaphil, which I have really liked. My rosacea problems seem to be disappearing. I was thinking of trying Purity, but the Cetaphil has been nice. I think anything that is not a harsh cleaner will work. If it makes you feel better I haven't noticed anything wrong with your skin. You are so beautiful.

I've had major skin issues too since high school so I feel your pain :( It's so depressing to wake up in the morning with painful zits that make you feel so ugly. But my skin got better after I saw a dermatologist and he prescribed me duac to use at night and differin in the morning. But like others have said, everyone's skin is different. I still get a zit every now and then but nothing like it used to be. I agree with chelsea about the washing with cetaphil which I've used since highschool. Everytime I try anything else it dries out my skin. I also have been doing something once a week for a while that sounds a little crazy but it works. Cut a fresh strawberry in half and rub the cut sides all over your just washed clean dry face. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off with water. It clears blemishes and exfoliates. I read about it in a Family Circle magazine. Good luck! I hope it gets better!
