List for Monday

01. First off, lets talk about this weather we have been having. Could it be any worse? I mean, it is almost May. We should be having beautiful days. Not rainy, cold, sunless days. Lilly refused to stay inside and play today. She was out in the pouring rain, playing in her little car and digging in the dirt. It took a lot to get her to come inside. We are all looking forward to the warm weather. The girls and I, along with my sister and her kids, and my mom are all heading down to St. George next week for the whole week. I can't tell you how excited I am to go. I can't wait to see the sunshine!

02. Holidays with kids are definitely more exciting, but they are a lot more exhausting too. My parents had their annual Easter party, and by the time we got home, all 4 of us were exhausted. We had jammies on at 6:00, and Lilly was in our bed settled in for the night at 7:00. We had a wonderful Easter though!

03. Well, the day has come. The Altima is up for sale, and the new car has been bought. That beater car took us to California and back several times, to Jackson Hole, to St. George too many times to count, and all over the valley. As much as I disliked the car, it really was a good car. I am thrilled to have a much safer car for me and my little family.

04. The joke is, I am not going to finish my book until July 4th weekend. Anton better pay up, because I am LOVING it. I am now understanding why Lonesome Dove is on so many peoples "Top 5 Favorite Books" list.

05. It amazes me how I can go from mopping my floors on my hands and knees, and having the house spotless sparkling clean on Saturday, to right back to square one just two or three days later. The floors wouldn't bother me nearly as much if I didn't have a crawling baby, but when I pick up Claire and her clothes are dirty from my floor, it drives me nuts.

06. Lilly's birthday is on Friday. We are throwing her a Princess party. She lives and breathes princesses. Today while we were driving in the car, and she was snuggling with her blankes, she asked me "Mama, do princesses have blankies?". Her mind is always on the princesses. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday the other night while I was tucking her into bed, she followed with: a princess cake, princess balloons, and a fishing rod. You got it!
