Another Brog Update
Miss Lilly is turning into trouble. Trouble I tell you! And, mommy is turning into a grumpy old witch...just ask my husband! What was I thinking when I thought "oh, it will be so much easier when she can crawl and entertain herself". I wasn't thinking the entertainment would be digging in the plants and eating the dirt, slamming her fingers in the desk drawers 20 times a day, throwing dog food all over the kitchen floor, taking off her diaper during naps, pulling on Diva's hair, unloading the books that I just put back, feeding the dogs her lunch, throwing temper tantrums...you get the point. So, mommy is a little tired...worn out...stressed out...and did I mention tired? Anton has been in Chicago for work, and I am sure that is another reason I feel so tired. My partner in crime is missing. Having him gone has made me realize just how much he helps me with Lilly. During the week when 5:00 rolls around, I feel such a sense of relief knowing he is on his way home from work. I feel very fortunate to have a husband to help me parent. I would feel so overwhelmed without him. On a different note, having him gone has been fun for one reason....girl movies! I have watched a bunch of movies I have been wanting to see, but never wanted to put Anton through the pain and agony of having to sit through them. My dad, brother-in-law, and Anton are all in Chicago together for business, and my 12 year old niece is obsessed with Twilight (I have never seen anything quite like it)...sooo we thought it would be appropriate to have a girls night and watch Twilight! Even my cute Granny J came to join in on the fun. I must admit, I liked it a whole lot better than I thought. Still not sure about his pale skin and red lips though...little creepy if you ask me. Anyway, for tonight I have a special dinner cooking for myself (one that Anton isn't particularly fond of), and once Lilly is down for the night, I am going to cuddle up on the couch and watch another girl movie. Wish me luck as I am trying to adjust to this new busy little phase Lilly is in - which I am fully aware will last for a long time!

Try to enjoy it anyway! It will go faster than you think. I love girl movie nights. When my sister was here we had a couple! It was fun.
I will trade you kids for a day. It will make you feel much better and make Lilly look tame. Wait until she starts walking!!!
After reading this post I remember very clearly those days with Isaac. They learn to move and discover a whole new world of mischief! I does get easier sooner than you think though. Once they learn what they can and can't get into. Isaac is pretty good if I leave him to do his own thing now. Of course you always have to have an eye on the constantly, but it isn't as complicated anymore.
Ah, the joys of motherhood. Wes is going through a phase of torn up toilet paper. He gets into the bathroom and pulls the toilet paper around the house then tears it into little pieces all over the place. Not to mention his obsession with the toilet scrubber that he grabs any time he can. Add that to his other obsession, throwing everything including his food, my house is always a mess. Oh, and then there is Stella. She is even worse. People keep telling me I will miss it one day.
I have been thinking the same thing with Alexa...how I couldn't wait, but it is trouble, no one tells you that! Good luck surviving on your own!
good luck! i would lie and say it gets better, but um ya - it doesn't. don't get me wrong, there are always things about sophia i love and get that "my heart is melting" feeling. and then other times (even 10 seconds later), you want scream some metallica song and break something. i promise i am not psycho!
I love that she takes her diaper off while she sleeps! I do that too.
