Last night, we are at the table eating dinner....here is how our conversation went:
Liz: "So, I was thinking that for your family baby shower, they could get us the high chair, since we bought the car seat already."
Anton: "Oh, well I was thinking they could get us the baby kennel."
Oh really....a baby kennel? At first I just stared at him, wondering what in the world he just said, then I couldn't help but break into uncontrollable laughter...and lately, when you get me laughing, I can't stop. So, Anton thinks we should get a baby kennel....also known as a portable crib. So funny!

Alright, so that is how it is going to go...
I left for the gym Monday evening only to return home roughly 45-55 minutes later to the unmistakable smell of baked cake. Of course I head directly for the cake pan sitting, covered, on the oven. Liz quickly lets me know that she "tasted" it and it tasted funny...Well not TOO funny I guess. As I lift the towel covering the cake I realize that in the 50 minutes I have been gone Liz has had time to not only bake a cake, but eat about a quarter of it as well. The joys of pregnancy! I think it only tasted funny because in her haste to devour the dessert she chewed on the pan a bit.
By the way, since that time I have consumed roughly half the cake proving, once again, that I have no self control when it comes to sweets.

I don't think I will ever think of a port-a-crib in the same way. Baby kennel is a much better name.
The "baby kennel" is a must.
So funny!! That sounds like something Basil would say. The other day he called a child a "crumb muncher!" I have no idea!
I love it, men are completely clueless!! Luke would have wanted a baby kernal so we could pu t the baby in at night and left it downstairs so he could sleep!!
I can just imagine coming to your house and there's the baby in a baby kennel! Hope we can all get together before you have your baby.
Liz...hey, it's abbey. I am blog stalking you hehe...just wondering when that baby is going to make its appearance. But I do have a question for you. Who was your wedding photographer. I LOVE the picture you have on your blog and I want to look at some of their stuff. If you don't mind...just leave a comment on my blog of who it is. Good luck with the baby too and if you need newborn pics I would love to do them!!!
I think the idea of a baby kennel is brilliant actually. Either that or some sort of torture device. Maybe Anton can invent one.
Sorry Anton, but your stories probably will never top this one. Plus Liz has the right to eat an entire cake no matter how funny it tastes.
