We went up the canyon on Sunday after church. The colors are just starting to change. It is so beautiful up there.
I always love when fall rolls around, because that means I can eat soup again! I love Butternut Squash Soup.
And, of course...Halloween! I LOVE Halloween! We are trying to find the perfect costume for Lily. Any suggestions?

Halloween is so much fun when you have a child to dress up. With all the adorable costumes out there, it's so hard to decide on just one! I just got Avery's in the mail yesterday:

I've never tried that kind of candle. I will have to. I'm a huge fan of the pumpkin (esp. spiced).
I have the costume I used for Sophia last year, if you want to use it. It's a ladybug. But I totally understand if you want to get her a new costume - being her first halloween and all! you will have to take tons of pics.

Mmmm! I love fall too! I love to get all cozy and you're so right, I get this urge to cook! The weather isn't changing too much here in CA, I keep waiting for the brisk fall mornings...a little cool down will have to do! I found a really cute costume for Tessa at babystyle. Check their website out, they had some really cute things!
I just smelled that candle the other day when Amy and I were out shopping--it is so yummy! And, can I get your recipe for butternut squash soup? I've never had one I loved, but you always make the best food, so I bet yours is really good. Also, your wreath on your front door is oh so cute. I want to steal it.
I couldn't agree more, only it doesn't even feel like fall here, so I haven't felt like doing all the fall things. We took Truman for a hike on Sunday to find some leaves and didn't have much luck. You're post definitely good me in the mood for fall though. I miss seeing the leaves change. I love cooking soup when it cools off.

It's finally starting to cool off around here too and there is definitely a difference in the air. I wish I could see the beautiful leaves in the mountains. I can't wait to decorate for halloween this year either :) NEXT WEEK.
You are amazing Lizzy, I wish I were crafty, and good at cooking and all that jazz. Not to mention I sorta, kinda, have to say I hate fall. To me it just means the end of Summer and THAT means a sad Laurie because no more laying out by the pool.
